Production Notes:
For mass production, each panel includes 2 pieces with a 10mm edge and 4 fiducial marks. After PCBA assembly, the edge is trimmed off. All PCBs are X-out free and follow a standardized manufacturing process.

1. Component Sourcing & Cost Management
This automotive PCBA project involved sourcing 7–8 key chips from international suppliers, many of which are difficult to find domestically. With rising import tariffs and fluctuating currency exchange rates, procurement costs increased significantly. To stabilize the supply chain, we proposed a year-long order commitment to the customer. This allowed us to negotiate fixed pricing with the chip manufacturers, ensuring smoother production without cost surges.


2. Custom Connector Development
A major technical hurdle was sourcing two 45-pin automotive connectors, which were not readily available in the open market. We partnered with a professional automotive connector manufacturer to develop a custom mold, even covering the high tooling costs ourselves to support the customer’s project. We produced 1,000 initial samples, with a full order plan of 5,000 units. The customer has since requested an additional 2,000 sets, reflecting the project’s smooth progress and customer satisfaction.


3. Functional Testing
The customer provided a dedicated test fixture. We translated the instructions and passed them to our engineering team. After completing PCBA assembly, we conducted functional testing according to the specified procedures. Most functions worked well immediately, with only minor issues related to resistor tolerance. After debugging and confirmation with the customer, all units passed final verification.
